Jakarta, 28 November 2024 – Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Menanam Pohon Nasional, WU Hub Coworking Space bersama dengan Fraser Residence Menteng Jakarta dan Gedung Wirausaha telah melaksanakan kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) berupa penanaman pohon mangrove di Ekowisata Mangrove, PIK, Jakarta Utara, pada tanggal 28 November 2024.
Kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk nyata dukungan terhadap visi “Ecosystem Supporting Successful Startup” yang tidak hanya berfokus pada pengembangan ekosistem bisnis tetapi juga peduli terhadap kelestarian lingkungan.
Dalam acara ini, WU Hub Coworking Space berkolaborasi dengan Miss Eco Internasional Indonesia 2025 untuk mengajak masyarakat serta komunitas startup di Indonesia turut berkontribusi dalam aksi nyata menjaga lingkungan. Dengan menanam mangrove, aksi ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengurangi polusi udara, mengatasi dampak perubahan iklim, serta mendukung komitmen Indonesia menuju nol emisi karbon pada tahun 2060.
“Penanaman mangrove ini sejalan dengan misi kami dalam membangun ekosistem startup yang tangguh dan sukses, dimana aspek lingkungan adalah bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari kesuksesan jangka panjang. Melalui inisiatif ini, kami ingin menginspirasi startup serta bisnis di Indonesia untuk lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan yang berkelanjutan,” ujar Charles Lee, Founder WU Hub Coworking Space.
Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan alam. Mangrove mampu menyerap karbon hingga 5 kali lebih efektif dari hutan biasa, memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam upaya global mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca.
Miss Eco Internasional Indonesia 2025, Yulinar Fitriani, mengajak masyarakat untuk berkontribusi secara langsung dan ataupun bisa berdonasi pada kegiatan kelestarian lingkungan. “Langkah kecil seperti menanam mangrove, mengurangi penggunaan plastik, dan mendukung kebijakan lingkungan bisa membawa dampak besar bagi masa depan kita,” ujarnya.
